We saw a huge need for an old fashioned butcher store that specializes in farm raised beef that comes directly from the field to the consumer’s plate. We started to sell beef locally from the farm and learned that the consumer wants to know how and what these animals are fed. They also want as natural and fresh of a product as possible with no hormones, steroids or preservatives. After some more thought and planning, we decided we could provide such a product while giving the “old fashioned butcher shop” service. In June 2004, Hirsche Fraser Meats opened the doors in Okotoks, Alberta. We enjoy the challenge of providing quality, rancher direct meat at competitive prices. Our growing clientele is proof that this venture is really worthwhile.
Our on-site smoker allows us to provide various products such as jerky, beef bacon and numerous varieties of sausages - all made from our Natural Hirsche Beef. Deli products, as well as ham and other ongoing creations are also available.
We also offer natural Free Ranging chicken that is fed no medicated feed, as well as fresh farm eggs. Locally raised Alberta pork and lamb is also a feature. During Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving we also offer Fresh never been frozen Free Ranging Tturkeys.
Our Natural Beef means NO steroids or hormones, NO filler, additives, binders or preservatives added to our meat. We do, however, offer some of our steaks that do not have these standards, but DO still continue to meet the AAA requirements.
All our beef is aged for a minimum of 21 days. Custom slaughter is also available.
